SILVER CORDING

Strange lights moving in the sky
And dead things floating on the water
I look above me to see electric jellyfish,
And below my feet reflect the crackling of living stars

Truly I tell you there's nothing
Holding me to account on earth
But if you confuse your sense data as having a soul,
What stops the very universe from its own rebirth?

I lost consciousness for over an hour
But some never gain any their entire lifetimes over
I will so much to escape this materiality trap
But the silver cord in my spine keeps tethering me back.
